The KP 900 Automatic cross-cut saw is an optimal solution for material preparation in the production of pallets and other wooden packaging products. On average, this saw can process 27–30 m³ of pallet timber or approximately 20,000 blocks for pallet manufacturing per shift (8 hours), depending on the cross-sectional dimensions of the material being processed. The machine can be operated by one or two workers, depending on the type of material handled, which is loaded manually into the machine.

Basic cutting modes
1. Manual mode
Each cutting length is set by positioning the material using the buttons on the control panel, or by entering the length value on the panel's digital indicator. The cut is initiated by pressing a button on the display. This mode is suitable for individual, step-by-step cuts.

2. Automatic mode

a) You set a single cutting dimension for the entire length of the input material. Once the cut is started with the foot pedal, the entire material is automatically cut to this set dimension. After the cut is completed, the feeder returns to the preset original length. This mode is ideal for producing pallet blocks. The main advantage is the quick changeover between dimensions during frequent material changes.

b) You set the desired combination of cutting lengths for the entire length of input material. Once the cut is initiated with the foot pedal, the entire material is automatically cut into these length combinations. After cutting, the feeder returns to the preset input length. The machine can store up to 10 programs, each with 10 lengths, which are quick and easy to overwrite, edit, insert, or delete. This mode achieves high material yield and is particularly suitable for producing cut stock for a wide range of packaging products.

In automatic mode, front and rear trimming can be set automatically.

In the standard configuration, the saw has a LEFT orientation, i.e., the material flow is from right to left.

The automatic loading system is included as part of the machine’s standard configuration. This is a pusher device running on a precision linear rail with bearings. This design ensures long service life for the linear guide and highly accurate positioning of the workpiece for cutting.

The integrated side and top clamps ensure the material is securely fixed to the worktable and rear support during the cutting process, ensuring every cut is precise, perpendicular, and free from unwanted movement of the material.

A clear LCD touch display allows for easy and convenient machine operation. All controls are clearly visible, do not strain the operator’s eyes, and provide perfect oversight. The ergonomic design and tailored software ensure the operator has complete control of the machine.

A working table at the infeed, before cutting, allows the operator to conveniently sort and prepare the material before moving it into the loading area. This eliminates downtime during saw operation and reduces strenuous handling of the material. The table has an 8° inclination and is equipped at the end with a safety flap to prevent material from unintentionally being pushed beyond the operator’s reach.

A basic fixed outfeed table, 2 meters long and partially covered by the cutting area shield, is located after the saw. The operator can safely remove cut material without risk from offcuts, splinters, or injury from the saw blade. The table is angled at 8°.
