The machine is currently disassembled and undergoing refurbishment to the following extent:

- Complete disassembly and cleaning
- Inspection of all components
- New Tribotec lubrication unit
- Overhaul of the independent balancing circuit of the console
- Milling head “O” – complete overhaul including gear replacement
- Replacement of gearbox bearings
- Replacement of belts
- Repair of ball screws and their mounting
- Resealing of all hydraulic circuits on the machine and replacement of solenoid valves
- Addition of automatic gear lubrication in the milling head
- Resealing of all hydraulic cylinders and modernization of seals
- Overhaul of hydraulic power unit
- Overhaul of Indramat feed motors and the spindle motor
- Repair and adjustment of Indramat drives
- Overhaul of electrical switchgear and control elements
- Replacement and modernization of limit switches throughout the machine
- Repair or replacement of cabling for the Heidenhain i TNC 426 system
- Overhaul of the control panel
- Overhaul of the Heidenhain i TNC 426 control system including keyboard and display unit
- The machine will be fully functional with geometric accuracy documented by protocol
- New machine paint, in RAL 5005 and RAL 9010 color scheme
