Product Features
The universal bandsaw for metal, CORMAK BS 712 R, allows cutting in the vertical or perpendicular plane to the workpiece axis, or at any angle from 45° to 90°. The feed during cutting operates on a gravity principle via oil flow in a dual-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The desired arm lowering speed is adjusted using a valve that regulates oil flow between the chambers. The required linear blade speed is achieved by altering the pulley ratio between the worm gearbox and the drive motor. The saw arm is made from profiled ductile iron, ensuring rigidity during operation and absorbing all types of vibrations. The control panel is located on the machine arm. The blade drive system consists of two cast iron wheels: the tension wheel (with adjustment via a lever) and the drive wheel. The drive wheel receives direct torque from the worm gearbox, which is powered by an electric motor. The correct blade inclination is set by a bearing roller unit. The base of the machine is a rigid rectangle made from steel sheets, housing the coolant tank with a coolant pump. Attached to the upper part of the base is a tray for coolant drainage and a chip bin for collecting swarf during cutting. The cast iron worktable is mounted on the tray, fitted with a vise to hold the workpiece, and to which the arm is fixed. The vise features quick-release clamping. The lower part of the stand contains holes for wheel axles. Safety during cutting is provided by an electrical system that meets all CE requirements. The machine is equipped with a limit switch that stops the machine after the cutting process, an emergency stop button, and several micro-switches that deactivate the machine if, for example, the belt or blade guard is opened. In addition, our model features a wire brush for cleaning cutting chips from the blade, preventing clogging and ensuring more efficient cuts—a distinction from the competition.
